LEGENDARY AWARDS UPDATE ON COVID -19
As the spread of corona virus, known as COVID-19, continues to be a growing concern across the country, we are forced to take extra precautions to protect you, our team and the communities that we will impact.
We are taking extra precautions by monitoring info from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as taking direction from our own Health Director, Sandra Elizabeth Ford, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.A.P. As we monitor our top priority is to keep you and our associates safe.
We have decided to postpone the tenth Annual Legendary Awards until May 17, 2020 and the third Annual 5K Walk will be rescheduled later when parks can let us know of available dates.
All existing tickets and commitments will be honored for the future dates. We do apologize for any inconvenience this unavoidable but necessary postponement may cause. Please be on the lookout for our updates, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

GREETINGS FROM THE
Visionary, Philanthropist and Entrepreneur, Rhonda Wilkins introduced the Legendary Awards to the City of Atlanta in 2010 shortly after being approached by NBA Hall of Famer, Dominique Wilkins to coordinate a memorable 50th birthday celebration. The idea of celebrating milestones in the career of legends emerged as a vision that turned into a reality. In 2011, the Legendary Health Initiative was launched to provide education, prevention, awareness, advocacy and improved access to care to Georgian residents lacking access to quality healthcare, pre-screening diagnosis, and health screenings.
The Legendary Awards has been recognized with a Proclamation by the City of Atlanta City Council for contributions to the arts, health and humanities, the Legendary Awards presents awards for categories such as Humanitarian, Spotlight, Legendary, Pioneer, Media Icon, Lifetime Achievement, Human Highlight and Spotlight.
Since it’s inception, the Legendary Awards steering committee has implemented a few additional programs and initiatives that would help to raise awareness and funds for research for healthy living. We are looking to expand to help other organizations as we have been granted our 501 C 3 status for the Legendary Awards Foundation.
